食品药物用途:甘麦大枣汤属滋养安神剂,重用小麦补心养肝,配以甘草和大枣益气和中、润燥缓急。辅助补脾胃气,使五脏得到滋养。这三味均甘润平补,同调心、肝、脾三脏,起到养心安神、和中缓急之功。小麦为君这里一般用淮小麦,取甘凉之性,养心阴、除烦热、安心神。而药店里较多的浮小麦,是小麦未成熟的干瘪种子,多用于治疗自汗盗汗的。如果实在买不到淮小麦,邓铁涛教授说过,可以用面粉代替:分量为一汤匙,先用少量冷开水调为稠糊状,再用煎好的药液冲熟和匀即可。甘草为臣甘草性味甘平,有补养心气、和中缓急、调和药性之效。《素问·脏气法时论》云:“肝苦急,急食甘以缓之”,甘草在此也有柔肝缓急的作用。大枣为佐大枣甘温质润,有调和脾胃、养血安神、益气生津之功,能“助十二经,补身中不足”。大枣记得去核,因为枣核性略燥些。上三味合而甘麦大枣汤,用以“脏躁”效如桴鼓。

适合与禁忌:此方可调理因紧张、焦虑、忧思过度等情绪问题,造成脏腑功能失调。譬如出现的长期失眠、神经衰弱、抑郁、更年期综合症、脾胃虚弱、小儿夜啼或多动等症,甘麦大枣汤都有很好的效果。
